Hourly Paycheck Calculator
Turn hourly rate, regular hours, and overtime into gross pay before estimating deductions.
How the estimate works
Enter the values supplied by your employer, written policy, or work record. The result updates in your browser and is not saved.
Formula
Regular pay = hourly rate × regular hours. Overtime pay = hourly rate × overtime hours × the multiplier entered. Gross pay is the sum of both amounts.
Worked example
Inputs: $25 per hour, 40 regular hours, 5 overtime hours, and a 1.5× overtime multiplier.
Result: $1,000.00 regular pay + $187.50 overtime pay = $1,187.50 gross pay.
How to read the result
This is gross earnings before federal, state, local, benefit, or other payroll deductions. Use the paycheck calculator next if you want an estimated take-home amount.
Important limitations
- The overtime multiplier is supplied by you; the calculator does not decide which legal rate applies.
- Bonuses, tips, commissions, shift premiums, and pre-tax benefits are not included.
- Multiple jobs or pay rates must be calculated separately.
