How the Nevada estimate works
Enter gross pay for one pay period, federal W-4 adjustments, and the state details shown above. Federal withholding follows Publication 15-T and FICA applies to current and year-to-date wages. Nevada individual state income tax is shown as zero because the Nevada Constitution prohibits a tax on wages or personal income.
Example: A Nevada paycheck can still include federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare, Additional Medicare Tax, and employer deductions even though Nevada income tax is zero. The calculator does not assume any unentered benefit deduction or invent a tax result.
Weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, and monthly are the supported paycheck frequencies. “Annual salary” is an earnings input and the annual view is a simple period multiplication; neither is an annual payroll-period method. The special Form W-4 adjustment for nonresident aliens is not modeled.
Does Nevada have state income tax? Nevada does not impose an individual income tax on wages. Federal withholding and FICA can still reduce take-home pay.
